StrathPride: LGBTQI+ Staff & PGR Student Network

In alignment with the University of Strathclyde's commitment to EDI, the STEM Equals team is working with the Equality and Diversity team to facilitate the creation of an LGBTQI+ staff and PGR student network. We believe the network provides an opportunity to build a more diverse and inclusive academic community and enhance support for and visibility of a marginalised and underrepresented community at Strathclyde. The STEM Equals team have met with members of the leadership committees of the LGBTQI+ staff and PGR student networks at other universities in the UK and discussed the support mechanisms provided to them by their institutions. LGBTQI+ includes Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, Intersex, Asexual, Pansexual people and more! Allies are welcome in the Network, but please note that the A stands for Asexual. Please also note that some meetings or events may be held exclusively for the LGBTQI+ members of the Network.

The Network formally launched on 21 October 2020 and over 80 Strathclyde staff and PGR students have joined so far! Please complete this online membership form.
